Lansdale, Dan O' Bannon, and Gary Braunbeck are all contributors. We are not saying our anthology has no room for fantasy-based stories, but we are saying that we need to expand the perception and show that Asians do know science and engineering, that they’re not just mystics with magical powers. The imagery conjured up in this poetry collection is quite extreme but I expect nothing less from White. During the 1980s Hammer also produced a horror tv series The Hammer House of Horror.

Miniature robotic killer dolls go on a murder spree. However, if you prefer to just write and send us a complete story, that’s great too. Anyone who has been around horror anthologies for a while will want to compare this one to Terror Tract or the more recent film The Perfect House because the wraparound concerns a real estate agent. I hate to be predictable, but there's really no way around this. The recent revelation that the series’ anthologies take place within the same universe has the potential to shake up this trend, but it is also a turn that’s become quite divisive among fans.

It's infuriating from a fellow writer's perspective: You try to take his writing apart to see what makes it work, same way a mechanic takes an engine apart, but it's impossible. Piers is known primarily as a light fantasist--like many, I gobbled up his Incarnations of Immortality series as a teen--but the dude can write some weird, perverse stuff as well. We haven’t reported on them yet because Horror Boom prefers not to be linked in any way with TMZ, but we’ll give you a hint: it looks like there might be a Murder House tie-in.

A sarcastic hero and a great ensemble cast take this horror anime to the forefront. Take, for example, the Harmon family, which was an anchor that was lacking in the succeeding seasons. It was a blast to write and totally new to me, as I never actually wrote a screenplay WITH someone else before. Krampus is the sort of guy more and more North Americans want to explore. Tanzer, Molly “But Only Because I Love You,” Dreams from the Witch House. The man’s been pumping out stellar fiction that fuses an oft fact-based history lesson.

If you want an afternoons entertainment that won't haunt your dreams, Voyeurs of Death isn't a bad choice. The frame story is spooky, “Amateur Night” is told uniquely through a camera installed in a pair of glasses and features a terrifying story of a succubus, “Second Honeymoon” has Ti West directing his signature slow-burn, throwback style of horror, another story is told through a webcam chat, and the final story is a fun thrill-ride.

Their hosts—potential hosts—couldn’t stand up at all, and there was no reason cetaceans would even notice a human’s posture, much less care. Autumn House Press is a nonprofit corporation registered in the state of Pennsylvania whose mission is to publish and promote poetry and other fine literature. It was of course impossible to get continuous runs of any one horror title so you ended up with samples of this or that, which to me enhanced their appeal. Publication of SF4 should be in spring 2017 (note the use of 'should' here).

Some guys and gals have refused payment, or offered reprints for free. A few years ago, New Cthulhu: The Recent Weird presented some of the best Lovecraftian fiction from the first decade of the twenty-first century. We will continue to accept fantasy stories. While CREEPSHOW 2 is nowhere near the level of awesome that the original CREEPSHOW reaches, I still kind of love this fucked-up little film. She almost makes the reader forget about the King piece in this brilliant story of a hitchhiker and a driver spending a night in a hotel together.

McGuire, Seanan “Spores,” The End is Nigh. Peter Cushing plays the mysterious proprietor of Temptations Limited, an antique shop with a twist. But without The Cryptkeeper’s wonderful puns, the show failed to find an audience. (Perhaps the creepy “sexy” robot host scared people off. I found Aguirre's story to be the strongest of the collection. Walter is shy and withdrawn, but whenever someone at school bullies him, they wind up getting injured in freak accidents.

Lucy Bellwood and Lupi McGinty’s contributions are among the best-crafted on an issue-to-issue basis. If you feel this is in error, please contact a site administrator. I am aware that many of you will not agree with this, probably expecting me to place Crypt in this coveted slot but, as you can see, I did not. It’s an interesting, well-plotted film that initially seems a little slow: A troubled woman is sentenced to house arrest in her childhood home, which her mother believes is haunted.
